CassieLand LLC was established by author and illustrator Cassandra Hill, who has a passion for the arts. Ms. Hill wants to create content for everyone in society as a whole, that brings people together through various artistic mediums such as art, literature, music and even television. At the age of seven, Ms. Hill recalls attending a school assembly wherein she thoroughly enjoyed a dramatic presentation by a storyteller. It was then that she knew that she wanted to become a performer herself one day. After earning two degrees in the field of Speech Language Pathology, Ms. Hill has made good on that dream. She has authored two children’s books, Shyann I Am! and It’s Your Birthday Shyann! To promote cross cultural friendships, she wrote the song, “Change the World Shyann!” And she plays that song at the end of every show. The song inspires children to dance beside Ms. Hill as they participate in a festive banter of “Copycat.” With her profession rooted in speech language pathology, her books also promote educational speech and language learning opportunities and fit well in classroom curriculums everywhere. As a result, Ms. Hill is now a proud performing artist, song writer and storyteller as she performs for community events and at elementary and middle schools all over the US. Her aspirations are to perform internationally one day.
Television Production: Unity
As a television producer, Ms. Hill created a television show called Unity under the auspices of Cassieland LLC. Ms. Hill put on the hat of executive producer and television reporter to cover community events that unify people and families cross culturally.
Cassandra Hill enjoys the art of television production. Ms. Hill has interviewed Pastor Joel and Victoria Osteen for America’s Night of Hope, singer Janelle Monae, Musicians, and singers Nate “Rocket Wonder,” and Roman GianArthur. She has also covered Singer and actor Bowlegged Lou of Full Force and from the movie House Party and singer Colbie Caillat. During the Obama administration she’s covered both President Obama and Michelle Obama on several occasions.
Unity: Children’s Content
To further promote Unity and the children’s content, Ms. Hill interviewed Roscoe Orman from Sesame Street at the White House Easter egg Celebration under President Obama. Ms. Hill has also had the pleasure of performing with Mr. Orman at Camp Curtin Middle School in Harrisburg, PA. Ms. Hill continues to create content for public access television.
